A game key needs five exact matches

  1. Platform.PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo and publisher launchers are not interchangeable.
  2. Title and edition.Base game, deluxe package, DLC and in-game currency produce different entitlements.
  3. Device requirements.A PC package does not establish console compatibility.
  4. Market.Use only a code intended for the account and storefront country.
  5. Account destination.Redeem on the account that should keep the licence.

Wallet credit has fewer labels and a strict destination

A Steam Wallet Code must match the Steam Wallet currency. Microsoft tells Xbox users to sign in to the intended account and says redeemed codes cannot be transferred. The flexibility of wallet credit exists inside those account and regional boundaries.

Crypto does not change the entitlement

Paying Giftlano with Bitcoin or Monero settles the retailer order. It does not convert a wallet code into a game key or expand a key to another platform.

Gaming wallet code vs game key questions

Can a wallet code be redeemed as a game key?

No. A wallet code adds account balance, while a game key grants the named licence or content.

Does the crypto payment identify the code type?

No. Read the product title and redemption result; the payment asset does not change the instrument.
