A near-enough Balance amount may still fail
Because Blizzard says Battle.net Balance cannot be combined with another payment method, a short balance can block an otherwise eligible purchase. The useful comparison is the live Shop price against the recipient’s existing balance plus the card value, in the same currency.
Redeem according to the instrument name
A Balance code is claimed in Battle.net Account Management and adds account funds. A Game Time code applies its defined entitlement. Preserve the product name in the private handoff so the recipient knows which official path to use.
Crypto is only the Giftlano payment method. It does not change Blizzard currency rules, make a Balance purchase splittable, or convert a Game Time product into subscription billing.
