Two Fortnite-branded cards now lead to different balances
| Card type | What Epic says it adds | Correct process |
|---|---|---|
| V-Bucks card | The V-Bucks amount stated on the card. | Use Epic’s V-Bucks redemption flow and select the linked platform. |
| Fortnite Gift Card | Epic account balance in markets where this newer product is available. | Use the Fortnite Gift Card redemption process, not the V-Bucks-card steps. |
| Console wallet card | Platform stored value under Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo rules. | Do not present it as a direct Epic V-Bucks code. |
Some platforms finish inside Epic; others produce another code
Epic says PC, Nintendo Switch and mobile users complete the V-Bucks flow after confirmation in Epic’s process. For Xbox and PlayStation, the flow generates a secondary code that must also be redeemed with Microsoft or Sony.
Sign in and verify the account identity.
Select the platform the recipient actually uses.
Finish in Epic or enter the secondary platform code where required.
Verify the links before submission
- Epic username: confirm the receiving account.
- Platform link: make sure the relevant Xbox or PlayStation account is connected correctly.
- Product label: separate V-Bucks card, Fortnite Gift Card and generic console credit.
- Market: follow the country and product availability shown for that code.
Do not infer universal cross-platform display or movement of balances. Epic makes platform selection part of the official redemption path.
