Separate three messages before taking action
| Message type | What to check | Next safe step |
|---|---|---|
| Already redeemed | The signed-in account, current balance, purchase history and any other legitimate account the recipient controls. | Do not keep submitting the code. Record the exact message and time, then follow the platform’s account-support path. |
| Wrong account or market | Steam Wallet currency or PlayStation account country/region against the code market. | Do not create or change an account to force redemption. Verify the intended account and ask support which rule applies. |
| Invalid or unrecognized code | Ambiguous characters, spaces, code length and the platform named on the product. | Re-enter once carefully. If it still fails, preserve the message and contact support without posting the full code publicly. |
Steam
Check the intended Steam account and Wallet balance
- Confirm the Steam account.Use the account that was meant to receive the value. Steam says wallet funds cannot be moved or gifted to another account after they are added.
- Review Wallet balance and recent activity.Steam exposes the balance beside the profile name. Purchase history may explain later balance use, but it does not prove which account redeemed a particular Wallet Code.
- Match the code currency.A retail Wallet Code must match the Steam Wallet currency. Steam’s native digital gift is a separate product and its conversion behavior does not apply to a retail code.
- Use Steam Support if unresolved.Steam’s Wallet help recommends checking confusing characters, allowing for a possible retailer activation delay and contacting support when an error persists. Keep the complete code and order evidence private and follow the prompt for the code format you received.

Check transaction history, region and the redeeming account
- Confirm the signed-in PlayStation account.PlayStation vouchers are single-use. Redeemed funds or content cannot be transferred between accounts.
- Open Transaction History.PlayStation documents how to view purchases online, on PS5, on PS4 and in the app. Review the relevant date range and any other legitimate family account involved.
- Compare regions. The voucher country or region must match the account. The account’s country or region cannot be changed after creation.
- Follow the voucher-problems guide.PlayStation’s official troubleshooting separates an already-redeemed voucher from damaged, inactive, expired and region-mismatch cases, then routes unresolved cases to PlayStation Support.

Retailer evidence
Prepare a private Giftlano support ticket
If the platform checks do not explain the result, open the Giftlano ticket form. Include the Giftlano order reference, checkout email, product name and market, the exact platform error text, and when the attempt occurred. If the form accepts an attachment later, keep the complete code and any image private; never put a full code in a public message.
A ticket starts a review. It does not promise that a code will be replaced or that an order will be refunded, because the result depends on the product status, platform evidence and applicable store terms.
Already-redeemed code questions
Should I try the same code on another account?
No. First verify the intended account’s balance and history. Funds or content already attached to one account may not be transferable, and changing accounts can obscure the original issue.
Does “invalid code” mean it was already used?
Not necessarily. A typing error, wrong code format, activation delay, market mismatch or an already-used code can produce different messages. Preserve the exact wording.
Will Giftlano automatically replace the code?
No automatic replacement is promised. Submit the private order and platform evidence so the specific case can be reviewed.
