How the shortfall works
In this example, the existing wallet balance contributes $20 and Steam asks for a method for the $15 remainder. The figures only explain the arithmetic; they do not represent a current title price, exchange rate or amount payable to Giftlano.
The balance cannot move to another account
Steam says wallet funds cannot be moved or gifted after they are on an account. That makes the redemption account more important than the payment split: redeem the code on the account that should make the eventual purchase.
If you are still holding an unredeemed Wallet Code, first confirm its currency matches the intended account’s Steam Wallet currency.

Can I choose any second payment method?
Use one of the eligible methods Steam presents for that account and purchase. This guide does not promise that every payment method is available in every region.
Can another person use my remaining balance?
No. Steam Wallet funds stay on the account where they were added.
Is a display-currency estimate part of my Steam balance?
No. Giftlano’s optional display value is a shopping estimate; it does not change the Steam product’s face currency or the wallet balance.
